God’s tone has changed. It is not one of patience; it is one of motivation and urgency. He has warned, he has asked, he has placed stumbling blocks to gain attention - but many, many, many are not listening.
Lana Vawser, an Australian prophet I follow, likened it to a mom asking her teenage sons to clean their room. The tone sharpens with each request… and the last ask isn’t really an ask; it is an order.
Psalm 2:10-12 (TPT) reads: "Listen to me, all you rebel-kings and all you upstart judges of the earth. Learn your lessons while there’s still time. Serve and worship the awe-inspiring God. Recognize his greatness and bow before him, trembling with reverence in his presence. Fall facedown before him and kiss the Son before his anger is roused against you. Remember that his wrath can be quickly kindled! But many blessings are waiting for all who turns aside to hide themselves in him!"
God challenged me - the change, as Michael Jackson sang, needs to start with the “Man in the Mirror.” I need to have my room cleaned of clutter and mess before I can crusade for others to do the same. So, I have been cleaning. It has been a humbling season of repentance (as you have read), apology and mental shifts - good, but hard at times.
God is asking us to clean our rooms. Put things, toys, and distractions away; and place our idols on the burn pile. God is seeking a pure hearted, God-fearing, God-focused people to lead this next season. He is calling hearts to change; to put down their agendas and join his. I don’t want to be left out or left behind in what he is preparing to unleash in this next season. I want to be on the tip of the tidal wave. I want his glory to fall and lives to be changed, altered, morphed into something better, brighter, blazing for him.
