Psalm 24:7-10 TPT
So wake up, you living gateways! Lift up your heads, you doorways of eternity! Welcome the King of Glory, for He is about to come through you. You ask, “Who is this King of Glory?” Yahweh, armed and ready for battle, Yahweh, invincible in every way!
So wake up, you living gateways, and rejoice! Fling wide, you eternal doors! Here he comes; the King of Gory is ready to come in. You ask, “Who is this King of Gory?” He is Yahweh, armed and ready for battle, the Mighty One, the invisible commander of heaven’s hosts! Yes, He is the King of Glory!
We are the gates, we are the doors in which God enters this world, circumstances, happenings.
Honestly, this challenges me. If my gate, my door, is barred, the latch is stuck or I am too distracted to notice He is knocking, asking to enter - I miss a divine appointment, a supernatural encounter.
I am often dulled due to distraction, deaf to everything but the urgent. I am tired, physically, mentally, so spiritually I shift into neutral and I cruise through life on autopilot.
How many whispers do I miss? How many slight nudges do I ignore? How dull are my ears and tough is my skin?
We are an avenue to this earth. He is calling. He is seeking open doors, gates, windows - anything really - to partner and affect the world around us.
Wake up gates, lift up your heads - the King of Glory wants to transform our world, change our circumstances, alter our expectations; He wants to manifest His presence.
Time to survey the gates, doors, latches, catches, thresholds and lintels…
What keeps us from opening our gates, our doors, to Him? Fear? Anxiety? Focus?
