Silence is NOT an Indicator

“In building the temple, only blocks dressed at the quarry were used, and no hammer, chisel or any other iron tool was heard at the temple site while it was being built.” 1 Kings 6:7 NIV

I read the above verse the other day and reflected: Silence is NOT an indicator of inaction.

The temple was built without hammer, chisel or axes ringing, clanging, jarring the atmosphere. A massive stone building was erected in relative silence. It made me think of how God often works in the quiet, the hidden, the unknown; then, to us, a SUDDENLY occurs.

How many areas in your life have a stillness, a calm, a seemingly unchanging aspect or status? I know I have several. I have brought them before God and I wait - in thankfulness and expectancy because I know he is moving stones, building something great, prepping something amazing - I just can not hear anything... but it is coming.
